Out of concern for me, my closest friend pushed me into adopting (purchasing) Shelby just 12 days after the sudden death of my beloved Sadie (10 days after cancer diagnosis). It was unfair to Shelby in that I didn't have time to mourn. I am also incapable of training a puppy. (My friend said that her husband had volunteered to train her, but he hadn't & he refused.) After thousands of dollars of destruction & of wasted personal trainers & professionals removing urine stains/odor, things didn't improve much. Slowly - very slowly (almost on her own), Shelby more or less became house broken. Not that we didn't love her or bond with her anyway. I can't imagine a more loved dog. She is fun & playful. Loves all dogs & people. Enjoys the dog park as if it was Disneyland. Like most puggles can eat non-stop & is pushy about begging while you are eating (embarassing with visitors) but otherwise is an unbelievable joy. She is smart and lovable and we adore her!
